This training will prepare the participant to create better work relationships by becoming a “conscious communicator.” It will strengthen the ability to build constructive and beneficial work relationships by learning how to analyze situations and consciously select and use productive communication strategies. All techniques used are applicable for:

  • Employees/peers/managerial communication
  • Negotiations and meetings
  • Presentations or public communication

Objectives:

This training is designed in very interacting manner to be useful for all participants despite their level in organization and previous experience.

The course facilitator will use a combination of delivery techniques to enable attendees to experience different styles.

In today’s challenging business environment, you have to build successful work relationships and interact with people in a positive way to achieve your organizational goals.

Communication in the workplace can be challenging and complex. There are many barriers to effective communication. However, these communication barriers can be managed if you know and understand the challenges that exist when communicating and work to develop the skills of effective communicators.

In summary, our training focuses on the development essential communication (incl. negotiation) skills related to the abilities to set and achieve communication goals, to manage difficult situations during the meetings with Clients or colleagues, to stay confident in situations of uncertainty, to create and sustain a positive mental attitude towards the Clients.

This course is designed for all business people who want to understand and develop their personal way of communication with their customers, their staff, their colleagues, and their managers.

Attendees on the course will be given the opportunity to practice interactive and participative delivery techniques.

  • The communication cycle: understanding common barriers, how they occur, the challenges and responsibility each person has to minimize them and work to overcome them; recognizing triggers in you and others; increasing self-awareness; tools and techniques to manage reactions and responses to move discussions on constructively.
  • Typical behavioral patterns of the participants and their outcomes. Defensive and supportive communication.
  • Comfort zones of participants in the communication process.
  • Understanding different types of interaction partners; their advantages and weaknesses.
  • Managing differences: developing interpersonal skills; recognizing, valuing and using differences well; preparing for differences; using effective communication skills to manage differences of opinions and reach agreement.

Format

  • Featuring dynamic lectures and video demonstrations, negotiation and communication role-play and other skill-building exercises, facilitated small group discussions, videotaping, and other personal coaching, this program is designed to actively involve participants in the learning process.

Experience as a HR Director and HR Learning Leader for 20 years for international companies (i.e. UniCredit Bank, IBM, Actavis).
